Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that the 14th C1-inhibitor Deficiency & Angioedema Workshop, will be held in Budapest from 29 May - 1 June, 2025.
This biennial conference series is dedicated to presenting and discussing the latest scientific findings primarily related to bradykinin-mediated angioedemas. It has long been known that, in addition to C1-inhibitor deficiency, these angioedemas may involve additional genetic and other factors. While the Workshop mainly focuses on the latest scientific research presented by the participants, we will also enhance the program by inviting a couple of leading experts to contribute to this four-day event. The outstanding research, the unique thinking, and the individual problem solving strategies of these professionals are exemplary and may have a stimulatory effect on the research activities of the participants. The program and the submitted abstracts, including the abstracts of the invited speakers at the Workshop, will be published to make them available to an even broader range of professionals interested in this subject.
The expected attendees include academic researchers, medical practitioners, biochemists, pharmacologists, drug developers, health care professionals, patients, and representatives of patient self-help groups, all of whom have an interest in this specialty. We welcome scientific abstracts relevant to the subject of the conference. Presentations of the recent progress made in the field of bradykinin-mediated angioedemas, including C1INH deficiency-based hereditary and acquired angioedemas, hereditary angioedema with normal C1-inhibitor function, drug-related, and idiopathic bradykinin-mediated angioedema, are highly anticipated. We invite abstracts that address basic research, diagnostics, clinical innovations, current and emerging therapeutic options, including gene therapy efforts. New advances in patient care and patient organisation activities will also be included in our scientific program. Based on the abstracts and on the presentations of the invited lecturers, the Scientific Committee will be responsible for compiling the scientific program of the conference.
The event will take place in Budapest, Hungary, at the distinguished Conference Hotel located on Margaret Island. Situated on the shore of the Danube River, this venue offers a peaceful environment, isolated from the hustle and bustle of city life. It provides a perfect environment for high-quality professional meetings and intensive debates. Furthermore, it is an ideal base for willing explorers of the beautiful capital of Hungary. In fact, it is only a couple of minutes away from both the culture-laden and historic quarters of the city.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Budapest Workshop.
On behalf of the local organisers:
